Dawn Two is the second planet settled by the Imperial Colony Ship, Voyager Dawn, in its constant push on the boundaries of the United Orion Empire. The settlement grows undisturbed in the shadow of the mothership for eight months when suddenly they find themselves in a desperate struggle against an enemy the Empire hasn’t seen in years.
Lieutenant Robert Hadings, ranking officer among the soldiers on board, is an ambitious marine, climbing the command ladder with his eye on captaining his own ship one day.
As events in the new colony spin out of control, Hadings learns that there’s a big difference between what his commanding officers know and what everyone else knows.
And that difference will cost lives.

Dawn Two takes place six years before the events of Voyager Dawn by Richard Patton. However, it is a stand-alone story and can be enjoyed even without reading Voyager Dawn.
